Difficulty of surviving in Northern Ireland as an
International Student
As an international student from Hong Kong, it is difficult for me to adapt to a new environment in Northern Ireland in the early period. I would like to share my experience with the public who are studying or will be studying abroad.
A digital interactive story would be created to help the international students in preparation of their study plan. They are easier to live in new place and finally settle down in their own accommodation. It is expected to help other international students to solve the difficulties that I have faced. Learning from the experiences of others is an effective way to help students adapt to new environments.
This digital storytelling is going to show my personal when I tried to settle down in Northern Ireland. With the aid of solutions, they could fit into the local society more easily. When they read my digital story, they can learn from my personal cases. They could think about how to deal with similar scenarios before their departure. It helps them to reduce stress before and on arrival.
