Major project: Using motion graphics to explain about plastic pollution
My major project is aimed at investigating if motion graphics are an effective way of explaining about the issue of plastic pollution. I was inspired to make this work as I feel like it is an important issue, people may know plastic pollution is a problem but do they know to what extent? I wanted to include statistics to make it feel more real, to try and make a difference. The project consists of 5 different videos each of them lasting around 30-40 seconds long, showing different statistics about how plastic pollution is affecting our environment and the oceans. These videos were created using Adobe After Effects and Illustrator, to be able to spread information about this topic. After watching I would like the audience to think about how we can all help to make a difference.
